Epitaph to the superintendent and head priest Alexander Gustav Adolf Jentsch (Jentsch, 1828–1885)
In the center of the epitaph is a dedicatory text enclosed by stylized columns above a bust of Alexander Jentsch. The epitaph was made by order of the Dom parish.
Inscriptions in the center of the epitaph:
Burgermeister u. Superintendent / Alexander Jentsch / geb. den 6. Mai 1828. gest. den 25. Mai 1885 / Prediger am Dom / vom 18. Mai 1858 bis zum 25. Mai 1885 / Hiob 4.3 u 4: Du hast viele unterwiesen / und lässige Hände gestärkt. Deine Rede / hat die Gefallenen aufgerichtet. und / die bebenden Kniee hast du gekräftigt;
at the base of the epitaph:
Ehren ·und der gestrengen ·und hochverehrten ·Oberpastor / Die dankbare Domgemeinde.
