Restoration:
The wooden epitaph of the city councillor Johann Henrich (8.11.1667 – 19.03.1746).
The epitaph consists of two parts, in the upper part – the coat of arms, in the lower part – an inscription plate with a text in German, which gives brief details about the deceased. The inscription plate is surrounded by a green laurel wreath, complemented by acanthus leaves in the upper corners. German text:
„Zum andenken
Das wohl adel gebohrnen und
Wohl weisen dieser Stadt wohl verdienten
Rahts Herren und Land Vegt Johan Hinrichs
Welcher Ao 1667 d 8 november gebohren und Ao 1746
d 19 marty sanfft und selig entschlafen”.
Larger in size is the upper part with the coat of arms. In the centre of the coat of arms, the shield – on a blue background, three golden hexagonal stars in an inverted triangle. Above the shield helmet with ornament. In the Kleinod of the helmet are wings and three hexagonal stars between them. The Mantling of the helmet is treated as baroque acanthus that surround the shield on all sides.
