Restoration: During the renovation of the church in 1883, the tombstone was placed in its current location.
In the centre of the tombstone slab is A round composition – between two concentric circles formed by shallow engraved lines, is fallowing the text:
DOMINVS REGIT ME NIHIL MIHI DEERIT
In the centre of the composition is a carved image of a lamb in a moderately shallow relief. The Lamb is shown from the side. This pattern has two meanings. This indicates both the deceased person’s occupation – L. Lemhen was a pastor of the Riga Cathedral, therefore a preacher of the Christian faith, but the lamb is a symbol of Jesus Christ, and also his surname – in German “das Lamm” means “lamb”.
Above this circle composition text:
M.LAVRENTZ LEMCHEN
Below it is also the text:
VIVE DEO MORIEN MVNDO
CORPVSQ SEPVLCHRO
VVLNERIBVS CHRISTI CON
DERE DISC ANIMAN
The 18th century inventory number of the tombstone is 3.
