ANNO 1698.
Cordt Meyer was the elder of the Painters Guild, who painted all the vaults and doors in Riga Cathedral the at the end 17th century. The assignment of the grave site was included in the employment contract.
Today, only the painting of the entrance next to the tombstone has survived from the work of Cordt Meier.
